Essential duties and responsibilities

In a start-up mode and environment, the CFO will be responsible for proposing, implementing and/or adapting the backbone of the company arranged into major blocks: Admin, Legal and Finance.The role will initially also cover HR activities supervision.
The role will aim at making sure the processes needed for smooth operations of the company are in place as well as providing the Executive Team with key figures to enable rapid decision making and anticipating the business’ cash requirements.

Major missions cover:

  • Execute the financial strategy of the company
  • Manage financial controls and accounting procedures
  • Manage non-dilutive and other financing processes with partners (banks,…)
  • Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
  • Make sure of the quality and the certainty of the data
  • Support the Executive Team (Chairman, CEO…) with fundraising
  • Manage CIR, JEI and similar processes for financing
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial plans
  • Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner
  • Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and clients’ payments
  • Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required
  • Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Oversee the company’s finance IT system
  • Implement and manage admin, legal and HR processes
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and legal regulations and company’s policies
  • Contribute to the Quality Management System in the areas of responsibilities

Your profile

  • 8+ Years of related experience and/or training, start-up experience is a plus
  • MSc/MBA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
  • International profile and proof of eligibility to work in/with the U.S.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices on an international level
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and French languages
